Obinna Umeh is an Electrical Engineering Build Fellow at Open Avenues, where he works with students leading projects in Electrical Engineering. Obinna is a Product Engineer at BoxPower Inc., where he focuses on designing off-grid solar microgrid systems for remote areas, creating and maintaining electrical documentation, and specifying power and controls equipment used in BoxPower products. Obinna has over four years of experience in solar microgrid system design, initially as a software engineer, then as an electrical engineer in a more hardware-focused role. He holds a master's degree in electrical engineering. A fun fact about Obinna is that he was in an acapella group when he was an undergraduate student.
