"Truyen is a Chemical Engineering Build Fellow at the Open Avenues Foundation, where he leads and mentors students on hands-on projects in chemical engineering. In addition, he serves as a Process Development Engineer at Lygos, focusing on optimizing downstream processes for the purification of specialty chemicals. With over four years of experience in the biotechnology industry, Truyen has played a key role in the production of a diverse range of specialty chemicals, including cannabinoids, amino acids, and superabsorbent polymers. His expertise spans various unit operations such as membrane filtration, centrifugation, chromatography, and crystallization. Truyen holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota. A fun fact about Truyen: he’s an avid motorbike rider."
