Description

The goal of this project is to create a simulator prototype that will be used extensively as a tool for helping operators, production and maintenance personnel better understand the way the process works and be able to troubleshoot it more efficiently.

What you will learn

  • Explain how the bottling industry developed in the world.
  • Understand the bottling process and the different sciences involved in it.
  • Name and explain the main technologies to blow bottles.
  • List the different machines used in the industry and their working principle.
  • Work with current simulators.
  • Design and program a simulator prototype.
  • Communicate through reports and presentations.
Build Projects are 8-week experiences that operate on a rolling basis. Selected participants engage in weekly live workshops with a Build Fellow and 2-15 other students.

Prerequisites

  • Ability to research the subjects required for the completion of the project.
  • Ability to present the use of scientific principles in the bottling industry.
  • Desire to learn how to use FlexSim, a popular 3D modeling software, to develop a simulator prototype.
