Make a web application to visualize public city data from big cities such as NYC and LA with WebGL.
To analyze urban patterns effectively, city planners collect extensive datasets that encompass a wide range of information, such as accidents, collisions, rule violations, congestion, and more. Understanding and interpreting these datasets is crucial for informed urban planning and development. Visualization plays a pivotal role in this process, serving as a powerful tool to capture trends, narrate stories, and identify the underlying causes of urban issues. It also aids in devising effective solutions to mitigate these problems.
In this Build Project, you will take on the role of an Urban Planner, focusing on visualizing city public datasets. Under the guidance of an experienced Build Fellow, you will develop a cutting-edge application using WebGL technology. This application will analyze publicly available urban data, process it, and present it in a user-friendly format. The goal is to create a tool that not only helps city planners and officials understand urban patterns and issues but also engages and informs the public. Your work will contribute to making data-driven decisions for improving urban mobility and enhancing the overall quality of life in the city.
