Description

Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a must-have skill for Architecture professionals as it provides a comprehensive and efficient way to design and document. It streamlines communication between different disciplines and facilitates the project delivery process in a market where fast-tracking has become a norm.  

In this Build Project, you will design a simple residential project and generate schematic drawings using BIM software. The program will equip you with entry-level skills in the Architecture industry such as making design decisions and creating graphic representation.

Build Projects are 8-week experiences that operate on a rolling basis. Selected participants engage in weekly live workshops with a Build Fellow and 2-15 other students.

Prerequisites

  • Basic understanding of technical drawings, you should be able to read and create scaled plan, section, and isometric view. You should be comfortable with quick sketching using pen & paper.
  • Interest in Architectural design and presentation.
  • Familiarity with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software is preferred (examples: AutoCAD, Rhino, SketchUp).
