Develop a Power BI solution to analyze inventory risks, streamline stock management, and drive proactive decision-making to enhance supply chain resilience.
Embark on an engaging journey into the world of industrial engineering and operations optimization. This Build Project presents an exciting opportunity to address key challenges in inventory and warehouse operations management. By developing a dynamic PowerBI dashboard, you'll gain practical experience in analyzing inventory levels, assessing risks, and proactively optimizing supply chain parameters to improve operational resilience. You'll focus on applying industrial engineering principles to enhance inventory management strategies, streamline processes, and boost overall warehouse and manufacturing efficiency. These skills are highly transferable, making them valuable not only in the supply chain and logistics sectors but also in industries such as manufacturing, consulting, hospitality, and beyond. This hands-on experience will provide you with the critical skills needed for a successful career in operations optimization, setting you apart in a variety of industries.
You will be introduced to the overall project, including key objectives and the deliverables expected. You will also receive an overview of inventory risk minimization and optimization in industrial settings.
Learn the basics of Power BI, including how to navigate the interface and access key features. You'll also install the trial version of Power BI.
You’ll be introduced to basic statistical concepts (mean, median, standard deviation) and inventory management techniques (ABC analysis, EOQ) through examples and case studies.
Description: Explore methods for assessing inventory risks and optimizing inventory management strategies. Real-world case studies will be used to demonstrate the application of these techniques.
You’ll learn how to use Power BI for inventory monitoring, risk analysis, and demand forecasting. A sample dataset will be provided to help you apply these techniques in real-world scenarios.
Learn how to construct a dynamic Power BI dashboard that aligns with the project goals. You’ll receive templates and instructions to help you develop your own dashboard.
Focus on refining the data presented in the dashboard, ensuring insights are actionable. You will work on adjusting parameters and fine-tuning the visual elements of your dashboard.
You will review your work, including the Power BI dashboard, and ensure it meets the project objectives. Final documentation will be completed and submitted, summarizing your approach, findings, and recommendations.
