Ever wondered why some startups succeed, while most fail? It all starts with the first pitch to a potential investor. Whether you are interested in analyzing investment opportunities or starting your own company, being able to analyze pitch decks and build your own is fundamental. Come to our first session with your own startup idea, and we will develop a pitch deck and presentation for it.

During this Project, you will learn how to build an effective and compelling pitch deck and present it to investors. We will develop a business plan and a go-to-market (GTM) strategy. Throughout the workshops, you will gain the knowledge and skills you need to build a pitch deck. This will all culminate in you presenting your own startup idea to a group of investors as the audience!

The skills you gain during this Project will help you in your future career in many roles you might consider that involve analyzing investment opportunities, in particular in the world of private equity and venture capital.

Making an Investment Recommendation That You Will Not Regret

In this Build project you’ll think about a company like a financial analyst at an Investment Bank, Private Equity firm, or Hedge Fund. As a group, we will choose a stock to value. Individually, you will build a full 3-statement financial model and use it for your own DCF valuation of the company. You will use publicly available data to build an income statement, a balance sheet, and a cash flow model. Then, you will project key financial figures into subsequent years. Quantum physics is an emerging field. It has demonstrated supremacy in many ways, such as quantum sensing being much more precise, and quantum computers being capable of solving problems exponentially faster than their classical counterpart.

In this Build Project, you’ll learn the key concepts in quantum physics, such as quantum states, Schrodinger equations, and use those concepts in real-life applications, including lasers and atomic spectroscopy. You will also learn and use Python to develop software programs to solve quantum problems. Those software programs will be very useful as they are not readily available in industry but only in academia. You will build your software program on Github, which is also a critical skill to have in the software development field. A well-built and active Github account is a good plus for jobs in software engineering, which has the highest pay grade among other fields.

How is reading case law and court decisions different from any other papers? Law Students spend an entire year (or more) to learn these skills. The project allows you to get a head start in gaining these skills, in a more simplified, beginner-friendly way. You will develop a legal memo as a final deliverable, which will include your analysis of cases, and its application to the matter at hand, and your position in advocating for your client.
